Aamir Khan to Play Ranbir Kapoor's Father in the Sanjay Dutt Biopic?

It is a well known fact that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing Sanjay Dutt in the actor’s biopic that will be directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
And now rumour has it that the makers of the film have approached Aamir Khan to play the role of Sanjay’s father Sunil Dutt. Allegedly, Aamir is quite impressed by the screenplay but has not committed to anything as of now.
A report in Pinkvilla quoted a source close to Hirani who said, “If there’s anyone who can do justice to the part of Sunil Dutt, it is Aamir Khan.” 
Aamir and Ranbir previously shared screen space in PK, where Ranbir had a cameo appearance.
