Aamir Khan is celebrated for his stellar performances. His career spans decades, marked by numerous hits. However, recent ventures haven’t impressed the audiences. His last release Laal Singh Chaddha faced disappointment at the box office. The actor adapted Tom Hanks’ Forrest Gump, but it fell flat for the audiences. His ex-wife, filmmaker Kiran Rao admits that the film’s failure did affect him.

It’s really disheartening when you put in all the effort and it doesn’t work, which happened with Laal Singh Chaddha and it definitely affected Aamir quite deeply,” Kiran told E-Times in an interview. His entire team was impacted by the film, she said.

Released on August 11, 2022, Laal Singh Chaddha starred Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. It was directed by Advait Chandan.

Meanwhile, Aamir Khan has begun shooting for Sitaare Zameen Par. He is also producing Lahore: 1947 starring Sunny Deol in the lead. On the other hand, Kiran Rao is promoting her upcoming directorial Laapataa Ladies, produced by Aamir Khan and Jio Studios.
