Alia Bhatt, Shah Rukh Khan unveil 'Dear Zindagi' first look in Twitter exchange

Mumbai, July 19 (IANS)  “Is it okay to not be okay?”
That’s the question Alia Bhatt’s character seems to have in her next film, Dear Zindagi.
Directed by Gauri Shinde, the film features Alia opposite Shah Rukh Khan, and has been described by the film’s team as “not a typical love story”.
While there has been a lot o speculation around the film — right from whether or not the film is actually titled Dear Zindagi, to the equation between Alia and Shah Rukh in the film, to the four other male actors who will play her love interest in the film — a ‘first look’ shared by Alia on Twitter on Tuesday gave a tiny clue.
Alia tweeted a picture of herself with SRK, using the Prisma filter to give it an interesting effect, along with the caption: “Dear Zindagi, is it okay to not be okay?”
The photo shows her dressed casually, with Shah Rukh — equally casual — sitting before her and presumably giving her some advice.
After Alia (she is believed to play a filmmaker in Dear Zindagi) tweeted the picture from the film, Shah Rukh also responded on Twitter.
Drawing her attention to the warm sun and blue skies, he said, “It’s okay to not be okay. As long as you take care of one person — and that’s you”.
That initial exchange led to a series of tweets being exchanged between the two actors, and it gives an indication of what the tone of Dear Zindagi will be all about. It has the emotional heft of letters being exchanged, rather than tweets — and perhaps that is Gauri Shinde’s intention. The film is expected to release in November this year. Read on…
