Sasha opens up about facing competition from younger actors

Both the critics and the audience appreciated Shahid Kapoor’s recent performance in Udta Punjab. According to a report in BollywoodLife.com, the actor was recently quoted saying that it is the influx of younger talent that keeps him on his toes.
He said, “It’s important to see the surroundings and use them positively to do better work. You have to constantly give people good movies and when you do that over a long period, a certain amount of loyalty and credibility develops and you are viewed accordingly.”
Shahid also spoke about how actors who have recently entered the industry have the ability to surprise people as opposed to people who have been in the industry for a longer time. He also squashes all rumours of there being a possible rivalry as he actually feels good when he sees newer actors give off good performances.
He added, “A new flavour cannot compete with me. I am always there because I am vanilla.”
