Deepika Padukone responds to Gehraiyaan memes with Siddhant Chaturvedi, finds them ‘extremely juvenile’

Mumbai, Feb 3, 2022 Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is gearing up for the release of her next film, Gehraiyaan. The film touches upon relationships, infidelity but promises to bring forth a lot more. But ever since the trailer was released, viewers have been sharing memes on social media as well. Gehraiyaan trailer showed Deepika Padukone’s character, Alisha and Siddhant Chaturvedi’s character, Zain sharing intense chemistry. But many, relating it to the latter’s character from Gully Boy, MC Sher, couldn’t help but share memes bringing Ranveer Singh into the picture as well.

In a media interaction with Deepika Padukone during the promotions of Gehraiyaan, the actress was asked what she thought about the same memes or if she’s seen them. The actress took a short pause before responding. She said: “Chi. No. That’s extremely juvenile.”

Directed by the very talented Shakun Batra, Gehraiyaan is a relationship drama that looks beneath the surface of complex modern relationships, adulting, letting go, and taking control of ones’ life path. The film features Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday in the lead along with Dhairya Karwa, Naseeruddin Shah and Rajat Kapur in pivotal roles. The movie will have its World Premiere exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on February 11, 2022 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
