Mumbai, Dec 9 (IANS) Star Plus’ and Ekta Kapoor’s Ye Hai Mohabbatein has been entertaining viewers since last three years. The daily soap began in December 2013 with Divyanka Tripathi, Anita Hassanandani and Karan Patelin lead roles.
‘YHM’ followed the love story of Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) a Tamil girl and Raman Bhalla (Karan Patel) a Punjabi angry man. Ishita who was shown as sterile gets attached emotionally to Raman’s daughter, Ruhi, who lived with her divorced father. The story went onto show some cupid romance between the two.
Ye Hai Mohabbatein went onto become a huge success for the channel being the slot leader gaining highest TRP’s against all shows. With two leaps and one international trip to Australia, the show remains television’s most popular and favourite one.
On Thursday, December 8, the cast of Ye Hai Mohabbatein came together to celebrate the completion of 1000 episodes in true Punjabi style with Dhol Wala’s. Joining them were the entire cast and crew breaking into an impromptu Punjabi dance.
The lead actress Divyanka let her hair down and danced like there’s no tomorrow. She looked beautiful in a beige sari.

Ecstatic with the milestone, Divyanka Tripathi said, “Ishita Bhalla has become a household name now. Starting off as next door girl to now becoming the pillar of the Bhalla house the entire journey has been a roller coaster ride. I have had many look changes from time to time. Jumping off a cliff or actually acting on a wheel chair, going to Australia or fighting with crocodile in water, I have loved and enjoyed each of my scenes. The show is very special to me as I found my life partner Vivek Dahiya while working on YHM. The entire cast and set has become like a second home to me. It’s a huge success for all of us and it’s time to rejoice truly.”
Karan Patel, also known as SRK of small screen said, “When we started off, none of us knew we would come so far 1000 episodes is a huge success, ours is a proper Punjabi family in the show so what better way to celebrate the same than the Dhol wala’s. Also the great news, the show’s TRP’s has gone up yet again and is the slot leader.”
Congratulations to the entire cast of ‘YHM’ for accomplishing the milestone of 1000 episodes.
