Mumbai, March 29 Ajay Devgn’s office has issued a statement clarifying that a video being circulated of a man involved in a Delhi brawl is not him. The video shows two men fighting outside a pub, using unparliamentary language. One of the men, wearing a white shirt, has been being mistaken for Ajay.

The statement reads as “Post the promotion of Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior in January 2020, Ajay Devgn has not visited Delhi. So media reports of a brawl involving the superstar outside a Delhi pub are absolutely baseless and untrue. We request news agencies and media picking this up to please note that Mr Devgn has been in Mumbai the entire time shooting for Maidaan, MayDay and Gangubai Kathiawadi and he hasn`t set foot in the Capital in 14 months. Request all media to please cross-check before putting out anything.”

The video in question was shared by a Twitter user with a caption stating, “Not really sure if this is #ajaydevgan or not but #Kisanektamorcha agitation seems to be spreading up. Social media floating with this video that drunk @ajaydevgn got beaten up?? #RakeshTikait”.

According to a report in PTI, a brawl broke out between two groups in Delhi’s Aerocity on March 27 when one of their cars ‘slightly touched’ another following which two people were arrested. The police officers are looking to nab the other accused involved in the brawl.

The two men were identified as Taranjit Singh and Naveen Kumar. Several other men joined them in the fight, the police told the news agency. The men attacked the security guards and staffers when they attempted to intervene.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ajay will next be seen in a special appearance in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi where he will reprise his role as DCP Bajirao Singham. The film is releasing on April 30, 2021.

The actor also has an important role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi for which he has been shooting in Mumbai. Ajay also has a pivotal role in SS Rajamouli’s RRR.
