Recent news of some sort of animosity between Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra has reached our ears. With both actresses debuting in 2017 with their Hollywood films, it seems there might be some sort of hostility between the two and that their career is the cause. However, a report on BollywoodLife.com recently confirmed that Deepika and Priyanka have both refuted these rumours, ridiculing them and stating all is well.
Priyanka opened up when questioned about the recent rumoured catfights, frustratingly stating, “Why are women always reduced to catfights? We all have so much more to do than to waste time on ‘catfights’. We all have our own chosen paths. As far as I’m concerned, they are – as you put it – rumours.” We completely agree with you Piggy Chops!
According to the same report, Deepika previously had similar comments on the matter of their alleged ‘catfight’ saying, “We have had very different beginnings. I still remember I was in school when she won Miss World! I’ve known her for many years and nothing has changed,” also completely denying rumours of there being any sort of hostility between her and Priyanka due to fights over their respective careers. She went on to say, “Everyone will have a different path and a different journey. What she wants from her career will be very different from what I want and that needs to be understood and respected.”
Truer words could not have been spoken. We’re glad to hear all is well between the two power-house actresses!
