Los Angeles, Sep 29 Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who won the Emmy for her portrayal of Selina Meyer in the comedy series “Veep”, has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Louis-Dreyfus announced the diagnosis in a post on her official Twitter account, reports telegraph.co.uk.
“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union,” she posted on Thursday.

“The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal healthcare a reality,” Louis-Dreyfus added.
Louis-Dreyfus, 56, who has two children, is best known for her role as Elaine Benes in the hit sitcom “Seinfeld”.
