New Delhi, June 20 Noodles have proved to be life-saviours for most us these days, to curb our late-night hunger pangs or cravings. It’s proved to be the fail-safe food option, for young professionals and students living in big cities.
Here are a few recipes to give the good old noodle a fresh and exotic twist by adding spices, cheese and more!! Also, brownie points for making it healthy by adding veggies, without compromising, shared by Sunfeast Yippie.
Ingredients
Yippee! 2 Packets
Water 500ml
Olive Oil 1-2tbsp
Sugar 1tsp
Butter 50g
Freshly Ground Desi Tomatoes 500g
Tomato Sauce 2tbsp
Fresh Basil Leaves 10
Oregano 1/2tsp
Gouda Cheese 3tbsp
In a saucepan, add 500ml water. Add 2 packet YiPPee! Noodles. Cook for 5 mins. Keep aside.
In another saucepan, add 1-2tbsp olive oil, 1tsp sugar. Mix on medium flame till light brown. Add 50g butter, 500g freshly ground desi tomatoes, 2tbsp tomato sauce,
2 sachets YiPPee! Masala. Mix well. Add 10 fresh basil leaves & give it another mix.
Add noodles into the sauce and mix to coat the noodles well.
Grate 3tbsp Gouda cheese on top of the noodles. Add 1/2tsp oregano. Toss well.
Sprinkle some more grated cheese on the top and serve hot.
YiPPee! Manchurian Balls
Ingredients:
Yippee! 2 packets
Chopped Onions 2
Chopped Spring Onion 1
Schezwan Sauce 1tbsp
Cornflour 2tbsp
Salt As Per Taste
Yippee! Masala 2 Sachets
Chilli Powder 1/2tsp
Cooking Oil 2tbsp
Chopped Green Chillies 2
Chopped Garlic 6
Chopped Yellow Bell Pepper 50g
Chopped Red Bell Pepper 50g
Chopped Green Capsicum. 50g
Chopped Spring Onion 1
Chilli Powder 1tsp
Soya Sauce 1tbsp
White Vinegar 2tbsp
Schezwan Sauce 1tbsp
Cornflour Water Slurry 2tbsp
Method:
In a saucepan, add 400ml water. Add 2 packet YiPPee! Noodles. Cook till par boiled.
Strain and transfer to a mixing bowl.
Into the mixing bowl, Add 2 chopped onions,1 chopped spring onion ,1tbsp schezwan sauce, 2 tbsp cornflour, salt as per taste, 2 sachets YiPPee! Masala, 1/2tsp chilli powder. Mix together nicely.
Form Manchurian balls with the mixture and keep aside.
In a kadhai add 500ml cooking oil, add the Manchurian balls to the hot oil. Fry till golden brown for 4-5 mins. Strain and keep aside.
In a saucepan, add 2tbsp cooking oil, 2 chopped green chillies, 6 chopped garlic, and 50g chopped yellow bell pepper, 50g chopped red bell pepper, 50g chopped green capsicum. Mix. Add 1 chopped spring onion, 1tsp chilli powder, salt as per taste, 1tbsp soya sauce, 2tbsp white vinegar, 1tbsp schezwan sauce, 2tbsp cornflour water slurry.
Add 100 ml water. Cook for 4-5 mins till sauce thickens. Add the Manchurian balls to it and give one mix.
Serve hot.
Yippee! American Chopsuey
Ingredients:
Water 450ml
Yippee! 3 Packets
Cooking Oil 2 Tsp
Salt 2 Pinch
Cornflour Powder 3tbsp
Cooking Oil 2tbsp
Chopped Garlic 2tbsp
Spring Onion 2tbsp
Chopped Carrot Half
Shredded Cabbage Half
Capsicum Cubes Half
Onion Petals 1
Tomato Ketchup 1tbsp
Vinegar 2tbsp
Soya Sauce 1tbsp
Ground Pepper 1tbsp
Method:
In a saucepan, boil 450ml water. Add 2 tsp cooking oil, 2 pinch salt, 3 packet YiPPee! Noodles. Cook for 2 mins. Allow to cool.
Strain extra water and transfer to a mixing bowl.
To the noodles, add 3tbsp cornflour powder. Mix to Coat on noodles very gently.
In a wok, heat 500ml cooking oil, carefully spread noodles in a circle. Keep lifting from side and cook on medium flame for 4-5 mins till golden brown.
Carefully flip and cook the other side foranother few minutes. Strain and keep aside.
In a saucepan, heat 2tbsp cooking oil , add 2tbsp chopped garlic ,2tbsp spring onion, half chopped carrot, half shredded cabbage , half capsicum cubes ,1 onion petals . Stir fry for 2-3 mins.
Add 1tbsp tomato ketchup, 2tbsp Vinegar, 3 sachets YiPPee! Masala, 1tbsp soya sauce,1tbsp ground pepper. Mix for 1min. Add 1tbsp schezwan sauce, a pinch of sugar, 50ml water, 2tbsp cornflour slurry mix. Cook on medium to high flame for 4-5 mins till it thickens.
Serve Chop suey sauce hot with crispy noodles.
