Police said Friday afternoon they found a body in the Charles River where they have been searching for Sriram Jayakumar. It is important to note police have not yet identified the body and there is no indication as of now it belongs to Jayakumar.

LEXINGTON, MA – Police say they have no information about a 26-year-old Lexington man’s whereabouts, a week after he left home and disappeared. Sriram “Ram” Jayakumar was last seen by his parents around 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 11.
He left by car with a “heavily loaded” blue backpack and told his mother he’d be back in an hour, according to police. He did not return.
His car was found on Friday, May 12 at 7 a.m., parked near the intersection of Bay State and Silber Way in Boston. Jayakumar is known to frequent the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society on 58 Deerfield Street in Boston and the surrounding area near the Charles River. No one reported seeing him in that area.
He is described as a 5-foot-6 Indian male, wears glasses and is 120 pounds with a slim build.
Jayakumar is a graduate of Brown University. He was not employed at the time of his disappearance.
On Friday, the Lexington Police Department said it currently has “no information” as to where Jayakumar could be.
