Mumbai, Aug 9 (IANS) Priyanka Chopra is a busy, busy lady. She is shooting for her ABC TV show, Quantico, and will soon start promoting her Hollywood debut, Baywatch. In between this hectic schedule, she has listened to multiple scripts and already said no to six — yes, you read it right — Hollywood movies.
But don’t lose heart, Priyanka has chosen her new international project — Project Runway. The Bajirao Mastani star will be seen as the celebrity guest in the show’s upcoming season 15, which will air in September. Priyanka shared an image with Project Runway’s regulars — model Heidi Klum, designer Zac Posen and Marie Claire’s Nina Garcia. They are also joined by Marchesa founder Georgina Chapman. Priyanka wrote with the image, “Namaste!! On @projectrunway Coming soon…Project Runway Season 15, Sept 15th! @ninagarcia @zacposen @heidiklum @georginachapmanmarchesa #projectrunway.”
At present, Priyanka has her hands full with Quantico. When she was in India earlier this month, she met Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar, Zoya and Farhan Akhtar but no film was signed in the end. Speaking to a tabloid, the actress said, “I am not only saying no to Bollywood films. I have also turned down more than six Hollywood films. I am rejecting films across industries. I’m going to pick the best and do only one film from each side next year. Even that would mean pushing myself against time. But I’m a 70mm girl who can never give up Hindi films.Main toh apni TV series bhi 70mm pe dekthi hoon.”
Having said that, Priyanka said she is “creatively frustrated.” In the interview, Baywatch star said, “I am not just an actress or a producer, I am an artiste and I love the variety -a little drama, a little humour, a little action -of several projects, at once. But now, I am reduced to acting in one film at a time and I’m creatively frustrated.”
