Veteran Bollywood producer of multi-starrer block buster films and a philanthropist,
Mr. Abdul Gaffar Nadiadwala son of Mr. Abdul Kareem Nadiadwala and father of
Dr. Mehnaaz Nadiadwala & Mr. Feroz Nadiadwala passed away on August 22nd at 1.40 am at
Breach Candy Hospital following prolonged illness.

In his film making career spanning more than five decades, Ghaffar Bhai has produced many
memorable films like ‘Aa Gale Lag Jaa’, ‘Lahu Ke Do Rang’, ‘Shankar Shambhu’,’Sone Par Suhaga’,
‘Watan Ke Rakhwale’.Pathar Ke Sanam, Meri Bhabhi, Mahabharat, Mela, Jhootha Sach and Hera
Pheri and Welcome which achieved a cult classic status and many more.

He was popular as Ghaffarbhai in the film industry. He has three sons, Firoz, Hafiz and Mushtaq,
daughters and his nephew and famous film producer Sajid Nadiadwala.

Ghaffarbhai who was one of the founders of the major Nadiadwala film banners with studios in
Mumbai and Gujarat.

He was also the presenter of The Multiple Award winning film “Its a girl” about Save the Girl
Child, This film was globally acclaimed and won 22 international awards.

This movie was produced by his daughter Dr. Mehnaaz Nadiadwala, who has a foundation by her
father’s name called as “Mehnaaz AG Nadiadwala Foundation” and has been mentored by him.
Gaffar bhai was a humble and loving soul.

Gaffarbhai’s final rites was performed at the Irla Masjid Cemetery in Vile Parle on Aug 23, 2022 at 4 p.m.
May his Soul Rest in Peace and Rise in Heaven.

With many other awards he also got “Lifetime Achievement Award” of “India International Film Festival of Boston” in 2018.
