BDC News

Mumbai, June 1 Actor Rajkummar Rao, who doesn’t drink in real life, consumed almost a full bottle of vodka for a scene in his forthcoming film “Behen Hogi Teri”.
A source said: “Rajkummar actually gulped down an almost full bottle of vodka for a scene in the film. It was a three-minute scene, but the makers and Raj were enjoying the scene so much that it went on from three minutes to 30 minutes and they kept rolling the cameras.”
“Much to the surprise of the unit members, the shot turned out to be very humorous and real. Well that wasn’t all! Rajkummar got drunk again while dubbing for his character to get into the mood and sound like a drunkard,” the source added.
“Behen Hogi Teri” is about a man who falls in love with his childhood friend and neighbour, but the girl treats him like a brother.
Rajkummar said in a statement: “I don’t drink in real life so when we had to do this particular scene, I just thought I should probably get drunk in order to make the scene authentic and the crew got really excited and they offered me all kinds of drinks to have.”

Difficult to say no to a woman: Big B on featuring in ‘Phir se’
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who has featured in a song “Phir se” by Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, says he did the song not because she is the wife of an influential person, but because she is a woman trying to develop herself independently.
“I agreed to be a part of this song not because she is a wife of Maharashtra chief minister. I liked the fact that she wants to develop her skill and art as an independent woman, which is just amazing. And above all, it was difficult to say no to a woman,” Amitabh said here.
On Wednesday, Amitabh launched the new single and its music video in Mumbai.
“She should get equal marks for her singing and performance in the song and I wish her all the luck for her future journey in this field,” Big B added.
Talking about working with Amitabh Bachchan, Amruta said: “I hadn’t thought I will be working with him. When I heard the song for the first time, I could only imagine him as a head of that music academy in song and when we approached him for it, he was kind enough to be part of the song and that is our privilege.”
When asked whether CM Fadnavis liked the song, she replied, “He loved the song and the music. He is a super fan of Amitabh Bachchan, so he had to love the entire video”
The song is composed by Jeet Ganguli, arranged by Abhijit Vaghani, written by Rashmi Virag and the video is directed by Ahmed Khan. It is produced by T Series.
