Realised India is a nation of weepy men: Neelesh Misra

BDC News

New Delhi, March 29 Aiming to encourage storytelling among individuals, author, Bollywood director, scriptwriter, lyricist and photographer Neelesh Misra realized that men in India do have a soft spot which they try to otherwise hide and some of his stories have been successful in breaking that false shield.
Misra has been narrating stories on his show “Qisson Ka Kona” and “Time Machine with Neelesh Misra” on digital platform Saavn.
Storytelling has the power to pierce through coldest of exteriors. Misra says his stories “got the attention of the most cynical people”.
“We have stuck to trying to create good content. We have not done anything else, tried no gimmicks. So in doing that we found that we have got the attention of the most cynical people. The people who are not emotional. When the second season started, a lot of men wrote about how the story impacted them emotionally and one of them wrote ‘oh thank god, I can cry again in my car’ so I realized that India is a nation of weepy men,” Misra told IANS here.
“There was something that we were able to unscrew within their minds and hearts. The men who were refusing to be emotional opened up and cried with our stories,” he added.
