Just a thought by…
Shilpa Desai Goel
When you are sitting with a cup of coffee and staring out…when you are watching the sun set quietly in its splendor…when the first light of dawn touches the water…when the wave splashes on the rock…when the river ripples…when the bud opens…when the leaves fall…when the skies darkens…when the rain comes gushing or caressing…when a child laughs…when you hear the cries…when a body falls…when it explodes…when you wonder…when you weep…when you see a face in the crowd…when you read some news in the paper…when the streets look at you in askance…when the ruins question…when you close your eyes a second…when your mind is curious…something sets your wheels in motion…and you start thinking…not too deeply…not an opinion…not very long…but a passing thought…for only a fleeting moment…only a thought…just a thought! You have it and then it passes, not ever collected as a sum of thoughts, not ever written down, not ever recorded, not ever voiced, not ever rethought, but stays with you, but stays within you…just as a thought! An attempt to put it down, for all to see…for any to read…or may be not…for it is only mine…a mere thought…just a thought!
