Carrie Bradshaw for the win! Sarah Jessica Parker surprised three unsuspecting brides-to-be by giving them shoe advice for their big day.
Needless to say, the three women were equal parts shocked and ecstatic, as evidenced by video of the encounters at the famous Kleinfeld Bridal in New York.
“What’s happening right now?” one the brides enthusiastically says upon seeing the actress who played Carrie Bradshaw in “Sex and the City.”
SJP was on hand celebrating the launch of her bridal shoe collection. The about-to-be surprised brides, though, were told that they were filming a segment about accessorizing for TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress,” in which the shop is prominently featured.
However, after all the women tried on their gowns, a sales associate told them she was getting their “shoe specialist,” and, tada!, out came Sarah pushing a cart full of her SJP shoes.
“I am your sales associate and shoe expert for the day,” she told one of the women, who replied, “Stop playing, oh my God.” Another happily said, “Shut the front door!”
“Thank you for letting me crash the party,” the HBO star said.
SJP hugged all the women (and their mothers) who were more than happy to take shoe advice from her. The video shows her describing the shoes by name and giving her advice on why a certain shoe looked good with the dresses that each woman had picked.
After making their final footwear picks, Sarah told the women that the shoes were on the house.
“This is just the best day,” one woman said.
After an off-screen producer asked another bride if she was surprised, she looked at him dumbfounded and sarcastically said, “No, I totally expected her to walk out.”
Aside from Kleinfeld’s, the shoes are also sold at Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus.
