Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a grand return to the big screen with King, an action-packed thriller directed by Siddharth Anand. The film has officially commenced shooting at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, with a targeted release date of October 2, 2026, coinciding with Gandhi Jayanti—a strategic choice for a major box office debut.

King marks the first on-screen collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter, Suhana Khan. While Suhana and co-star Abhay Verma have begun filming, Shah Rukh is expected to join the production later. To maintain secrecy, high-security measures have been implemented on set.
