Shocking! 'Balika Vadhu' actress Pratyusha Banerjee commits suicide

Mumbai April 1, 2016: Actress Pratyusha Banerjee who stole our hearts as Anandi in the popular television serial ‘Balika Vadhu’ has reportedly committed suicide. 
Police are investigating the probable cause that may have spurred Pratyusha to resort to the extreme step.
Hailing from Jharkhand, 24-year-old Pratyusha catapulted to fame with her role in “Balika Vadhu” between 2010-2013.
Pratyusha shot to fame at the young age of 18 when she was selected to replace child star Avika Gor as Anandi on “Balika Vadhu” in 2010.
Such was the popularity of the show, which revolved around the life of a child bride, at that time that the makers
launched a nationwide poll to select the grown-up Anandi after  the story took a five-year leap. The actress, however, left the show in 2013.
In “Bigg Boss 7”, she had a close friendship with housemate Kamya Punjabi. On the show, she hated when contestants teased her for being the youngest member in the group.
She was later seen in the reality dance show “Jhalak Dikhla Ja-5”, and hosted some episodes of “Savdhan India”, and recently appeared in “Sasural Simar Ka”.
She was last seen in TV show “Hum Hain Naa”.
