Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan, who is an interior designer and an entrepreneur has been booked by Panaji police in Goa in alleged cheating case. A property company in Goa, which had given a contract to Khan for her architectural and design services, is the complainant in this case. Managing partner of Emgee Properties, Mudhit Gupta alleged that Khan has falsely projected herself as an architect to secure the contract and an sum of Rs.1.87 crore was disbursed to her.
As per the complainant, Khan had failed to deliver the project within the time period stipulated in the contract in their Naira Complex being constructed in North Goa. The complaint stated that when it was found that her work was not up to the expected standards of a professional architect, the company suspected that Khan was not in fact an architect as she had claimed.
When pressed to furnish details about her registration number with the Council of Architecture, Gupta alleged that Khan avoided giving them the number and finally, on inquiring with the council, the company learnt that she was not registered with it. Police sub-inspector Rashmi Bhaidkar has registered the case under Section 420 (cheating) of the Indian Penal Code.
