Sonakshi Sinha confirms 'Namastey England'

Mumbai, May 3 (IANS) Just a few days after Sonakshi Sinha revealed the release date of her upcoming film, Akira, on social media, the 28-year-old actor has signed her next film. The Dabangg actor, who has been missing from the silver screen for quite some time, has been roped in for Vipul Shah’s Namastey England.
It is for the fifth time that Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha have been cast together. After casting their spell in films like Rowdy Rathore, Holiday and Once Upon Ay Time in Mumbai Dobaara, the hit jodi will now be seen in Namastey England.
According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Akshay will essay the role of a Punjabi guy, while Sonakshi will be seen in a new avatar in Namastey England. Vipul Shah was quoted as telling the tabloid, “Sonakshi will feature in a never-seen-before avatar. We are currently in the pre-production stage.”
At the same time, Shah has rubbished the rumours that Namastey England is a sequel to the 2007 hit film Namastey London.
 
“Let me make it clear that our film is not a sequel or a continuation of Namastey London,” he said.  
The film is expected to go on floors in August this year and will be shot across Europe. “We will be shooting in England, Paris, Switzerland, Brussels and Punjab. It could take us around six months to wrap up the film,” Vipul added.
On the work front, Akshay is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Housefull 3. He will be seen opposite Jacqueline Fernandez in the film. On the other hand, Sonakshi will be seen in an action flick, Akira.
