Taylor Swift wins big at Radio Disney Music Awards

Taylor Swift was the big winner of last night’s (April 30) 2016 Radio Disney Music Awards (RDMA).

Swift scooped three awards on the night for Song of the Year (‘Bad Blood’), Radio Disney’s Most Talked About Artist and Best Breakup Song (‘Bad Blood’).

But Tay-Tay lost out to Selena Gomez for Best Female Artist, while Ariana Grande won Best Song To Dance To for ‘Focus’.

Grande was also one of the performers on the night, which saw the likes of Flo Rida, Hailee Steinfeld and Hero Award recipient Gwen Stefani take to the stage. Stefani was presented with her award by Pharrell.

Other winners included Justin Bieber for Best Song To Lip Sync To (‘What Do You Mean?’), Fifth Harmony (Best Music Group), Ed Sheeran (Best Male Artist) and One Direction for Best Crush Song (‘Perfect’).

The awards saw an epic drum-off between The Muppets’ Animal and Fall Out Boy’s Andy Hurley and a never-before-seen mash-up of Kelsea Ballerini’s ‘Peter Pan’ and Daya’s ‘Hide Away’.

Including a special performance by Bieber at a Tulsa high school, the awards will be broadcast in the UK on May 27 at 5.30pm on Disney Channel.

Over 238 million votes from around the world were cast for this year’s RDMA. The full list of winners were as follows:
