Riding high on the success of the newly released action thriller Animal, Triptii Dimri has earned herself a major fan following. The actress has stolen the show despite being a surprise element in the film. Starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in the film, the actress had to film an intimate scene with the lead actor where both of them had to strip down. But, the actress asserts that it was filmed in a safe space and both Sandeep Reddy Vanga and Ranbir ensured she was comfortable to shoot it.

“There were many, many discussions that happened before we shot it,” Triptii told Indian Express. “The day he offered me the film, Sandeep sir had categorically told me, ‘Hey, this is the scene I want to shoot; I am looking at it this way. I promise you that it won’t be vulgar, that it will be aesthetically shot. But I have to look for your comfort. So if you are not comfortable, we will think of a different way to do it. But you need to tell me honestly.’”

The actress said that she did take her time to give her the go-ahead for the scene. She recalled that a similar instance occurred during her OTT movie Bulbbul. “When you sign a project, you do it with the understanding of what you are getting into. The rape scene in Bulbbul was more traumatic, this wasn’t. There I had to leave behind myself to portray that on screen. When you sign a film, you have to make sure you give your 100 percent.”

Recalling the shoot day, she said, “Ranbir made sure I was comfortable. There was obviously that hiccup, I was nervous, but he made me feel very comfortable. There were literally four people on set. Me Ranbir, the DoP Amit Roy and Sandeep sir. Even the monitors were shut to make sure I am in a comfortable space and doing well. Everything was taken care of. When you are made to feel that safe and comfortable, then you feel good. It felt like a safe space, of working with people who respect you and the process. Safe sets are the most important. I was told that the set is closed and if I feel the need to stop, I could say cut as well. That’s what gave me immense confidence as well.”

Animal has minted Rs. 434.02 crores at the box office in India.
