What Went Wrong Between Colors and Comedy Nights With Kapil? Daadi Tells All

After being dropped without any explanation to the producers or the viewers, the last episode of Comedy Nights With Kapil will now be aired on January 24. Many speculated that there were some differences between the comedian and the Colors channel, and now actor Ali Asgar, who plays Daadi on the show, has confirmed the same.
Asgar told PTI, “It is not that we were running out of content or the audience got bored. We continued to get good response. There were some issues between production house and the channel. Before 25 days or so we were aware that the show is going to end but we thought things might work out. We got to know about the last day of the shoot before 15 days. The production house and channel decide when the show goes on air.” he said.
On January 17, the last episode of CNWK, which was shot with the Airlift cast Nimrat Kaur and Akshay Kumar, was supposed to be aired but instead it was swapped with rival show Comedy Nights Bachao at the last minute.
Asgar said it was indeed a very emotional day for the star cast of the show on the last day of the shoot.  The show ran for three years. “We shot on January 12 with the Airlift team. The last day was emotional for all of us. This show gave all of us name, fame and money. It has been a memorable journey for me,” he said.
