A descendent of Punjabi immigrants growing up in Buckinghamshire in the 1970s, Anjula Acharia-Bath is the founder of Desi Hits! and a partner at venture capital firm Trinity Ventures. Acharia-Bath has today built a solid track record of fusing South Asian faces into western pop culture, and vice versa. She brought Lady Gaga to India and arranged the collaboration between the Pussycat Dolls with Academy Award winning composer AR Rahman.
But recently her claim to fame has been as the manager of Bollywood megastar, Priyanka Chopra. Anjula Acharia-Bath has been instrumental in steering India’s sweetheart’s US TV debut in ABC’s hit fall drama, Quantico. She accompanied PC to the Oscars dressed for the red carpet in a black gown by Indian designers Falguni and Shane Peacock and tweeted, “When with @priyankachopra this is how we roll! #RollinInTheRolls #PCAtTheOscars.”
